If there’s one thing I’m grateful for, it’s my body building up a tolerance for coffee. It just feels so easy and natural not to have to look for alternatives in this department, too!

After my warm cup of fresh coffee, I have plans to do a ton of nothing today. These kinds of days are better than vacation – commuting to rest.

Luckily, the fridge has plenty to offer. No obligations, just options. How soothing.

I turn off the phone, just in case anyone tries to disrupt this 21st-century luxury – peace.

I reach for the yogurt but change course when the doorbell rings. Can’t turn that off.

I notice letters sliding in through the bottom of the door. Guess I was lucky – no one showed up unannounced. Do I open the letters though? They look important, but the better of the two evils is just opening them, so I don’t have a restless mind about their contents until I give in.

Well, turns out, just some bureaucratic stuff I can deal with in the upcoming weeks.

Going back to food, I don’t know if this is common knowledge, but yogurt with honey is glorious. It tastes healthy and quite different to anything else. I finish my snack and decide to read for a bit.

Then, I experience a strong urge to roll my eyes. Wanna know why? The doorbell rings yet again.

I guess I can ignore it. How important could it be? Anyway, it never rang again, and yes, the reading idea.

Since the inspiration behind all of this is rest, we can skip Jordan Peterson for now. Nothing with self-improvement, please. That defeats the purpose of rest.

I’m not making this up but I hear the door again. I open it, and I have a delivery – how unexpected considering my habits.

Scratch the idea of reading. Something more comforting, like easy cooking or spending time with my pet, can be the next two things to enjoy. And later a nice long walk in this sunny weather. The doorbell cannot follow me outside, luckily.
